My association with Nazir Kazmi , whom I had often addressed as Nazir Bhai, was more than that of over a decade. My first memory of him was when I found him carrying Lavender in packs to St Francis College, and he had then put on a jeans and a spotless white pair of shoes and gorgeous sun glasses .

I was then at school . His looks superseded his aura and his language complemented his stride . He was truly a star amongst us as I had later on become a friend. His persona was suave and his spoken language betrayed a class of an epic . Only once did I visit his place and all things were perfectly synchronised to an accurate display .
Many a times did I called him when he was abroad ie Dubai and sometime in Kathmandu . His verve, his poetic renditions and jokes were all a resounding encompass of a yesteryear era .
Fin De Siecle is how it is said when an era turns but the big question Nazir Bhai has left unanswered ? Who will fill -in his Void? Perhaps none . Long live Nazir Bhai . Wish you a great start in the high heavens . I share the grief of your family in his hour of bereavement- Haider Abbas, UP State Information Commissioner.
