Milad -un- Nabi— A Poetic Tribute

O Messenger of Allah, welcome today!
Delight of Amina’s heart blessed this day!
Leader of Prophets, the crown of them all,
Comforter of worlds, both great and small.
From noble Abdullah, honoured by name,
Through Hashim, Muttalib, glory and fame.
Descended from Adnān, an illustrious line,
A lineage chosen, majestic, divine.
Mustafa has come, the Chosen One here,
Light of creation, Beloved most dear.
Earth shines with radiance, mercy abounds,
A lamp in the darkness, His praise resounds.
Heavens rejoice with a jubilant song,
Upon Him, blessings and peace belong.
At His birth, the shadows fled away,
Allah’s great Mercy was born that day.
Hearts bloom like flowers, fragrant and bright,
As Sirāj-e-Munir dispels the night.
The pride of the Prophets, mercy to all,
Al-Amin, the Trustworthy, whom we call.
Nūr-e-Mujassam has come, radiant light!
The Mercy for all, our guiding light.
The cosmos resounds with jubilant voice,
Shams-ud-Duhā has come — all rejoice!
Through Him the Qur’ān’s truth is revealed,
Each step is a sign, a truth unsealed.
Hāshimī’s glow turns the darkness away,
Mercy descends, Allah’s law lights the way
On this sacred morn, we Bruneians pray,
To our Nabi, whose light guides our way.
Our Sultan, with wisdom from heaven above,
Leads us in faith, in reverence and love.
From every corner of our blessed land,
We raise our voices, a devoted band.
Marḥabā, marḥabā — Aḥmad al-Muṣṭafā!
Welcome, welcome — Ya Rasulullah!
