The Geography department of Maharaja Bijli Pasi Government College,Lucknow on the 25 th June
2020 on the topic “ROLE OF MEDIA AWARENESS TOWARDS INCREASING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
DURING LOCKDOWN”.
The programme started with a saraswati vandana and the guests were welcomed by Dr Manju Dikshit,Principal ,MBP College.The chief guest Sri Vinod Agnihotri,Editor Amar Ujala,New Delhi expressed his views on the topic and reflected upon the increase in the rate of
domestic violence across the countries of the world.Mrs Usha Srivastav,Editor Pioneer ,New Delhi
talked about the role of media towards the prevention of domestic violence and protection of
women at home.
Mr H. Thiyara from California also threw light on the fact that domestic violence
had reached its peak during the lockdown 2020.The Webinar was conducted by Dr Rina Gupta while
the vote of thanks was given by Dr Balram.
