She was reportedly undergoing treatment in Hinduja hospital in Mahim and was declared brain dead by the doctors today morning.
Kavita is survived by three children – one son and two daughters.
Her children have given their consent to donate her organs.
“Kavita Karkare had a brain haemorrhage because of which she was taken to Hinduja Hospital at Mahim on Saturday. Her condition is critical and she is in coma. Her treatment is underway,” a police officer had reportedly said.
