New Delhi- Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi has strongly condemned the rogue elements in Intelligence Bureau for keeping the government in dark about the anti-terror efforts of Anjuman-E-Haideri in the form of worldwide mass movement of common citizens cutting across religious or ethnic boundaries. He demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene and check the rogue elements in the system who are directly or indirectly supporting terrorism. He has sought appointments with Prime Minister, Home Minister and Minister of External Affairs to appraise them about the situation.
A six member AEH delegation heading to Iraq, led by Maulana Kalbe Jawad was forcibly detained this morning at IGI airport without giving any reason. Earlier immigration officials at IGI had stopped the delegates on the basis of a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by Intelligence Bureau.
Maulana kalbe Jawad questioned the very intention of the security agencies for scuttling the efforts of getting the Indian captives released. He alleged detention of AEH delegation has proved that the rogue elements are being governed by some outside forces.
The renownd Shia cleric, while addressing a hurriedly called Press Conference in the capital, expressed his deep shock and surprise on the manner the intelligence agencies have been misleading the people and democratically elected government to serve their own nefarious agenda.
Mehmood Pracha, legal advisor of Anjuman-E-Haideri, said that the whole world is paying the price of spreading terrorism and it is shocking that the security agencies, while turning a blind eye towards people openly supporting ISIS and trying to scuttle a mass movement against terrorism speaks volumes on the intentions of the rogue elements in the government agencies. The relative ease with which these rogue elements in security agencies break constitutional and legal provisions is really alarming. Mr. Pracha said that the LOCs issued against the AEH delegates are absolutely illegal, and so is the forcible abduction and detention of the delegates by Delhi Police. AEH will move court against these illegal acts.
The AEH delegation was supposed to meet Haider al-Abadi, the Prime Minister of Iraq and revered religious leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Siestani, amongst other dignitaries, to discuss the modalities of sending volunteers for humanitarian services in that country and creating worldwide citizen campaign against terrorism. The meetings were also to cover the efforts to release Indian workers who are held captive by ISIS terrorists.
Meanwhile Iraqi Embassy in the capital was also shocked to know about the development. An official called the AEH General Secretary Syed Bahadur Abbas Naqvi today morning and informed that Iraqi government had made elaborate arrangements to receive the delegation. This would have been an opportunity to bring the people and governments of the two countries closer in their fight against terrorism as both are victims of the menace, he said.
Anjuman-E-Haideri’s campaign was patronized by Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi who called the youth to join this non-violent campaign.
A huge number of youth got themselves registered as volunteers to serve the humanitarian needs of the victims of terrorism in Iraq. They had offered to donate blood for the victims, offer medical and other professional help for rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons in Iraq. In the beginning they had even offered to non-violent and peaceful human shield around holy shrines Karbala and Najaf, which are sacrosanct to the entire humanity and were being threatened by ISIS.
Syed Bahadur Abbas Naqvi, General Secretary of Anjuman-E-Haideri told media persons that Prime Minister, Home Minister and Minister of External Affairs were kept informed about the registration of the volunteers for Iraq and also about our communication with Iraqi government. The affidavit signed by the volunteers was very clear about the intention and framework of their non-violent and legal act. “We kept the government of India well informed at every stage”, he added.
Other members of the delegation were Syed Rais Abbas, Vice President, Syed Bahadur Abbas Naqvi, General Secretary, Shahzad Husain, Joint Secretary, and Mashiat Mohammad, a leading activist of Anjuman-E-Haideri.
