Japanese consumer electronics major Panasonic has launched 4K technology-based professional camcorder HC-X1000 in the Indian market at Rs 1,79,000. The camcorder can shoot at 60fps at up to 150Mbps, has a built-in 20x optical zoom lens with optical stabilisation and can shoot in both Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) and Cinema 4K (4,096 x 2,160). It features a swivelling touchscreen and an electronic viewfinder.
The device, priced at Rs 1.79 lakh, supports recording formats as 4K Cinema and 4K Full-HD and host of professional functions. It is ideal for professional shooting documentaries and events in extremely high detail, Panasonic said in a statement.
Panasonic, which is a market leader in this segment with 65 per cent market share claimed that 4K Ultra HD HC-X1000 is the world’s first camcorder capable of recording 4K 60p/50p images onto an SD card. This Panasonic supports SD cards up to 128GB.

Panasonic India will continue to launch such offerings for its customers and the roadmap is to develop synergy within various 4K offerings from the company, so as to establish a control in the complete category rather than just a particular segment, the statement said.
