New Delhi: Indian Mujahideen (IM) member Ejaz Sheikh, who was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur area, was produced in Delhi’s Patiala court on Saturday.
Sheikh was arrested by the special cell of Delhi Police and the Uttar Pradesh police on Friday night.
He was involved in the 2008 Jama Masjid bomb blast and 2010 German Bakery blast case, according to police.
“Ejaz Sheikh is from Indian Mujahideen and provided logistics to other IM operatives. He was also involved in Jama Masjid blast and German Bakery blast,” Special Commissioner (Special Cell) SN Shrivastava said.
Sheikh used to make fake identity cards for the members of the terror group and is considered to be a “technical expert”.
Police has also reportedly recovered few electronic items from his possession.
