The birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji was celebrated on the 2nd of October 2021 at Maharaja Bijli Pasi Government P.G College.
A sarv dharm prarthna was organised where the students recited passages from the Holy Qur’an, the Geeta, the Bible and the Guru Granth Sahib. This was followed by speeches and presentations by the students of the College who spoke about the ideas propagated by Gandhiji and Shastri ji.
Thereafter, the staff and students together sang the favourite bahjans of Gandhiji, Vaishnavjan Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.
The Agents of Change were recognised for their efforts on the occasion and presented with certificates of appreciation by the Principal Prof Suman Gupta.
The NSS and EBSB Club of the College conducted a SWACCHTA drive to celebrate the day.
The programme ended with the address of the Principal who talked about the ideals of the Father of the Nation and reflected upon the need to follow his ideals and principles.
