TEHRAN: Senior adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution has said the Western side would definitely fail if they attempted to halt Iran’s peaceful nuclear developments.
Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks on the sidelines of the international congress for consultation among the foreign guests invited to the country on the eve of Islamic Revolution anniversary that kicked off today on the eve of February 11.
He quoted the Leader on the fact that the Islamic Republic does not have its hand tied in the course of the nuclear negotiations, adding “on the contrary, it is the United States who has its hands tied since they cannot impose their own wills on Iran to impede our scientific progresses.”
He referred to the recent launch of the indigenous satellite Fajr into space and said, “Fajr is the first Iranian satellite that has been manufactured with such an advanced technology. It is capable of staying in the earth’s orbit for a long time and transmitting its signals back to earth.”
He also pointed to Iran and 5+1 nuclear talks, stressing the Western countries would fail in their attempts to halt Iran’s peaceful nuclear developments and that Iranian negotiators would continue the talks within the framework set by the Leader.
