Reliance Communications customers can now enjoy roaming services across the country without worrying about any additional charges for utilising voice and data services at a roaming location.
The ‘One India, One Rate Plans’ are available for both post-paid and pre-paid GSM customers. Under this offer, roaming rates as per the customer’s existing home circle billing plan will be applicable, even when they are roaming in other locations in the country. And customers can also enjoy one rate for roaming, local and STD calls from anywhere in the country.
“We are delighted to launch the One India, One Rate Plans in the country, which abolish differentiated tariffs for roaming, STD and local calls in India,” said Gurdeep Singh, CEO of consumer business at Reliance Communications.
Its pre-paid users will get free incoming calls while roaming with a pack of Rs. 45 with validity of one month and outgoing calls will be charged 40 paise/minute.
RCom has introduced two plans for its post-paid customers – One India, One Rate 350 and One India, One Rate 599.
Under the One India, One Rate Rs. 599 plan, customers get 1,200 minutes of free outgoing calls (roaming, STD, local); unlimited free national incoming roaming, 2 GB data and 100 free SMSes. After the free minutes are used up, customers will enjoy a flat outgoing rate of 30 paise /minute for calls to anywhere in the country.
In One India, One Rate Rs. 350 plan, customers get 700 minutes of free outgoing calls (roaming, STD, local), 200 minutes of free incoming national roaming 1 GB data and 100 free SMSes. A flat rate of 40 paise/minute applies after the free minutes are used up.
Shares of RCom were up 1.59 per cent to Rs. 153.55 in afternoon trade, outperforming the Sensex which was up 0.8 per cent.
