TEHRAN, Nov. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s FM spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham condemned the Zionist’s closing of Al-Aqsa Mosque to Palestinian worshipers.
Marzieh Afkham condemned the Zionist acts against Al-Aqsa Mosque for barring the Muslims from entering the Mosque on Thursday as well as the following support for the Israeli settlers for attacking the Palestinian worshippers.
Afkham, while warning against the harmful consequences of such actions, called on all Islamic countries and regional communities not to keep silent on this violation and defend Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Following the shooting of Rabbi Yehuda Glick and subsequent killing of a suspect on Thursday, Israel closed the Temple Mount, which includes Al-Aqsa Mosque and only partially reopened the site to men aged 50 and older and to women at midday Friday.
