· State officers trained to resolve issues of infrastructure & industrial projects
· The facility will be available to both public and private sector projects with investment from Rs 100 crores to Rs 1,000 crores
Lucknow | August 7, 2014:
In a bid to remove hurdles in implementation of infrastructure and industrial projects in the State, the online Project Monitoring System (e-PMS) is being implemented in Uttar Pradesh in right earnest. The facility will be available to both public and private sector projects with investment from Rs 100 crores to Rs 1,000 crores. The Uttar Pradesh Project Monitoring Group (PMG) Portal was launched in June this year.
In this regard, officials of Project Monitoring Group (PMG) in Cabinet Secretariat of Government of India concluded the two-day training of administrative and nodal officers of State government at Udyog Bandhu. It has been decided that Infrastructure & Industrial Development department will be the administrative and coordinating organisation for operation of this mechanism in Uttar Pradesh. Nodal officers of 12 departments participated in the training, including departments of Power, Forest, Pollution control, Labour, Factories, MSME, Excise, Commercial Tax, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Food, Drug.
Principal Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development, Sanjiv Saran said, “It is a paperless online project monitoring system that automates the entire tracking of stalled investment projects in the context of bottlenecks.”
“Till now PMG in Cabinet Secretariat of Government of India was monitoring the projects with investment of over Rs 1000 crores, with this facility available now in the State, investors with projects of Rs 100 crores to Rs 1000 crores investment will also be able to register their projects on the State portal for resolution of issues hindering the implementation”, said Mr Saran.
The system includes submission of new projects by proponents with their issues on the portal- http://cabsecpmg.gov.in/up/index.php, consideration by the State government, resolution of issues in coordination with departments concerned and review of projects in a high-level meeting.
Significantly, once all hurdles in the implementation of a project are removed, the mechanism also provides the facility of monitoring and tracking of the project in terms of investment made and progress periodically.
Nodal officers of each department will be provided with unique User ID to access the information submitted by the investor. Similarly, the admin will also be able to review the progress of resolution process along with maintenance of master data and generation of various kinds of reports.
Creditably, even the agenda and minutes of the meetings held to resolve the issues will also be generated automatically and intimated electronically to all parties and departments concerned.
